A couple of years later, after moving to Canada, I continued swimming competitively at Minoru Aquatic Centre in Richmond and eventually started working for the City as a Lifeguard and Instructor. I started teaching swimming in the year 2000, and I continue to follow my passion for teaching to this day.
As an adult, I seek to explore water sports of all sorts, the feeling only gets better. I believe everyone is capable of learning how to swim, and it would be an honour and privilege to be able to teach you how. The best place for me has always been near the water, especially the ocean. I hope to be able to share my passion for the water with everyone and help anyone reach their swim goals.
I have spent my life swimming and bringing that joy to others is my passion.
Growing up near a saltwater lagoon, called Lagoa da Conceição, I spent most of my days swimming and sailing a few hundred meters offshore and that is where my love for the water was born.
When I was eight years old my family moved to Germany where I started swimming competitively. I couldn't have been luckier to have my father as a coach, who was once a Brazilian National Champion when he was in University, and other great coaches from Durlach, Germany training and challenging me as a swimmer. I have fond memories of those years.
