FAQ

Submit the contact form with your swimmer’s details, preferred lesson location, and 2 availability options. We’ll review your request, match you with an instructor, and send you time options to confirm.

We’ll ask for the swimmer’s age and level, your contact details, lesson location, and availability. Providing specific time ranges helps us match you faster.

For in-home lessons, you’ll need access to a private residential pool.

If you don’t have one, you have two options:
• Book at our Burnaby indoor pool (9304 Salish Court).
• Use a friend or family member’s pool. At this time, we do not arrange or source pool access.
You have two options:

In-home (your private pool): we come to you for fully personalized, one-on-one lessons in the comfort of your own pool.

We teach all ages, from young children to adults. Lessons are fully tailored to each swimmer’s level and comfort in the water.

Consistency is key. Most swimmers benefit from 1–2 lessons per week over 8–12+ sessions, but long-term progress depends on your goals and consistency. Students who commit to ongoing lessons and practice between sessions improve significantly faster and retain skills better. Packages are recommended to build momentum, stay consistent, and get the best results.

Yes. You can add another swimmer to your private lesson for $30 per additional swimmer (e.g., siblings or friends). One family coordinates scheduling and payment. It works best when swimmers are at similar levels so the instructor can teach them together.

We also run small group classes at our Burnaby indoor pool (max 4 students per class) for swimmers who prefer a group format.

Our rates depend on lesson type and location:

In-home private (45 min): $90
In-home private (60 min): $110
Burnaby private (60 min): $130
Burnaby group classes (60 min): $70 per swimmer

Packages of 8 or 12 weeks are available and recommended for consistent progress. See our Pricing page for full details.

We accept Interac e-Transfer (preferred) and credit card. Once your lessons are scheduled, we’ll send an invoice with payment details. Payment is due before your first lesson; packages are paid in full upfront.

Bring:
• Swimsuit
• Goggles (recommended)
• Towel
• For Burnaby pool sessions: your own lock for the lockers

On your first lesson, your instructor will meet you at the pool, do a quick comfort and skill check, and tailor the session from there. Early lessons usually focus on water comfort, breathing, and technique fundamentals before progressing.

We offer in-home swim lessons across the Greater Vancouver area. Coverage depends on instructor availability for your location. Include your address or area in the contact form and we’ll confirm when we follow up.

24-hour notice for private lessons (in-home and Burnaby). 48-hour notice for Burnaby group lessons. Less notice or no-shows mean the lesson is forfeited.

We do not issue refunds. Cancellations are handled through credits, valid 12 months from the date issued. Credits can be applied to any lesson type.

Packages are non-refundable and must be used within their validity period (8 or 12 weeks, depending on the package).

If we cancel for reasons on our side (instructor illness, pool closure, etc.), you receive a full credit and we will work to reschedule promptly.

If you or your child is unwell within the cancellation window, message us and we will work with you. Credits for illness are handled case-by-case.
